From Scrap to New
As an example of how a deck that seems past its best can be brought back to life.
Here's an old 1200 mk2, That was destined for the scrap heap but a customer asked if we could do anything with it. Of course!
So we did a full naked white look for the Plinth and the base. Refurbished the platter, Then added some white accents. A new tonearm, a new pitch fader, new pitch trim, shade cloth and Pitch gasket Plus a full led conversion including under platter halo. So we took a 30 year old deck, Brought it back to life, ready for another 30 years of service. Its now living as a deck which a northern soul enthusiast test listens to his latest purchases on.
Upgraded Audio profile
We also rewired the tonearm with 99.999% silver litz tonearm wire, Same withe the cart that was installed. Put in a new gold plated terminal board, Van Damme pro audio cables and 24k Plated RCA plugs and of course a new Earth Lead. All done at Technics Worx Edinburgh.
